Overview

This 13day trip to South Korea takes you to some of the most popular as well as hidden gems of the country. The trip begins and ends in Seoul. We will welcome you at Incheon International Airport on the first day and transfer you to your hotel. Then, we head for Gongju, the ancient capital of Baekje Kingdom, where we will visit Songsan-RI Tombs as well as Gongsanseong Fortress. Then, we travel to Boseong Green Tea Plantation, where we can try their famous produce. Explore Jinjuseong Fortress as well as the Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju, a UNESCO World Heritage site. On the way to Ulsan, also visit the second-largest automobile plant in the world and ski jump tower at the Alpensia Ski Jumping Stadium, which was one of the venues of the 2018 Winter Olympics. The final destination of the journey is Jeju island, where we will stay for three days to relax on its beaches, enjoy the serene natural beauty of the island, and learn more about the legends surrounding this place.

Day One:

Seoul Arrival

Upon arrival, our representative will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. on the way, he/she will give you a brief explanation on your further trip. After reaching the hotel, check-in, and then you can rest or head out to explore the city on your own.

Day Two:

Seoul - Gongju – Daejeon

After breakfast, join with your tour guide at your hotel lobby. Then, head out to visit the ancient capital of Baekje Kingdom, Gongju. From here, we will move onto Magoksa Temple, a significant temple surrounded by a mountain and rivers in Chungnam Province. Here, you can join a meditation with monks and make a conversation with them over tea. Then, we will visit the Tomb of Muryeong King, where you will see the wall painting drawn on the number six tomb. Next, we will visit the majestic Gongsanseong Fortress, a mountain castle established during the Baekje Period. If you like, you can enjoy archery experience here. After visiting the highlights of Gongju, we will transfer you to a hub city Daejeon, which is famous for its hot springs. After reaching Daejeon, check-in your hotel, and the rest of the day is free. you can enjoy the indoor spa at the hotel that offers some high-quality natural waters that has a healing ability.

Day Three:

Daejeon – Jeonju – Jinan - Gwangju

After breakfast, we will head towards Jeonju Hanok Village, where you will see more than 800 traditional Korean houses. This village is quite popular among tourists due to its atmosphere that heavily contrasts with the modern city surrounding it. here, you can choose to wear a Hanbok, Korean National Costume, and capture some pictures to make a special memory. After visiting the village, we head towards Gyeonggijeon Shrine, which holds the image of King Tae-jo, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty. This afternoon, we will enjoy Jeonju Bibimbab lunch and taste Makkoli (traditional Korean Wine) at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will visit the Tapsa Temple in Jinan. This temple is famous for more than 80stone pagodas built by a retired scholar named Lee Gapyong. From here, we head towards Gwangju, located in the southwest corner of Korea, to spend the night.

Day Four:

Gwangju – Boseong – Suncheon – Yeosu

This morning, we will visit the Boseong Green Tea Plantation. This tea plantation full of green tea fields and cedar trees is truly a mesmerizing sight. you can also have a taste of Boseong Green Tea. Then, we will visit the Suncheon Naganeupseong Folk Village. Here, you can see the daily lifestyle of natives to the south provincial area. From here, we will head to the Sunceonman Bay, densely blanketed with reeds taller than 6ft, followed by the visit to Yongsan Observatory, where you will get the bay's beautiful view.

Day Five:

Yeosu – Jinju – Busan

In the morning, we will board a Yeosu Cable Car and enjoy a thrilling ride with the gondola to operate over seawater. You will get to relish the view of downtown Yeosu and the archipelago around the old seaport. Afterward, we will visit the Jinjuseong Fortress, historically linked to the 1592's Japanese Invasion. After visiting the fort, we will take a short break, then transfer you to Busan. The remaining day at Busan is free, so you can explore some famous attractions like Haeundae Beach, which is famous for its modern feel, and also go for a drink at bars and pubs. Or, simply relax in the shoreline and watch the hustle of Haeundae Market.

Day Six:

Busan – Gyeongju

After breakfast, we will visit depart from the hotel to visit the Nurimaru APEC House. The name of the house means "a house where the world summits gather together for an APEC meeting. The house lies on Dongbaekseon Island, which is famous for its gorgeous natural scenery filled with dense camellia and pine trees. From here, we move onto Gyeongju, where we will explore Bulguksa Temple. this beautiful relic is also a UNESCO World Cultural Asset. Then, we will visit the Gyeongju National Museum, which includes mostly the relics of the Silla Kingdom, of which Gyeongju was the capital. After visiting the museum, we will head to Daereungwon Tomb Complex, a park with over 20 large and small tombs of Kings and court officials from the Shilla period and now is a designated Historic site. The last place we will be visiting today is Cheomseongdae Observatory, the oldest existing astronomical observatory in Asia, constructed during the rule of Queen Seon-deok and used to observe stars to forecast the weather. This evening, enjoy a delicious dinner, and then you can enjoy walking through the Bomun Lake.

Day Seven:

Gyeongju – Andong – Wonju – Pyeongchang

After breakfast, we will head towards the Andong Hahoe Village that houses the descendants of the Ryu clan of Pungsan. This village is renowned for its traditional houses. It boasts about the exquisite scenic sight such as the glorious Nakdong River flowing around the village, the outstanding Buyongdae Cliff, boundlessly unfolding sandy beaches, and lush, ancient pine trees. This village is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, elected on July 31, 2010, under the category of "Historic Villages in Korea." From here, we move onto Hanji Theme Park, where you can get the opportunity to observe the Hanji making process. Then, we will go for a short drive to reach your hotel for the day in Pyeongchang. After checking into the hotel, the remaining day is at leisure.

Day Eight :

Pyeongchang – Gangreung – Yangyang – Seoul

This morning, we will depart the hotel to visit Ski Jump Tower Observatory by monorail for Olympic Winter Games Pyeongchang 2018. From here, you can enjoy the view of the Sky Lounge and also will have plenty of time to enjoy a cup of coffee. Later, we will travel to Yangyang for a short hiking at Jujeongol of Mt. Seorak to relish nature. Then, in the late afternoon, we return to Seoul, after which the day is free.

Day Nine:

Seoul

After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel in the morning. Then, you will begin your sightseeing tour of Seoul with a visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Gwanghwamun Gate, see the Royal Guards changing ceremony, and also visit the National Folk Museum. Then, we will head to the Blue House, which is also referred to as Cheong Wa Dae. Next, we will visit the Insadong-Gil and Jogyesa Temple, then to Myeongdong. This afternoon, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a restaurant, then continue the trip to Namsangol Hanok Village. Later, we will visit the N Seoul Tower and Observation Deck. After finishing the sightseeing tour of Seoul, we will transfer you back to the hotel, with the remaining time of the day being free.

Day Ten:

Seoul –Gimpo Airport- Jeju Island

After breakfast, you will meet with a local driver at your hotel's lobby who will transfer you to Gimpo Airport from where you will take a flight to Jeju Island. after reaching the Jeju International Airport, a representative will meet with you and then transfer you to the hotel in Jeju. The rest of the day is free, so you can explore this beautiful island on your own.

Day Eleven:

Jeju Island

After breakfast, you will meet with a local driver at your hotel's lobby and then head towards Halim Park. The park consists of lava caves, botanical gardens, and folk villages. Then, we will roam around for some time Hyeongje Haean-ro Seaside Street between Mt. Songaksan & Mt. Sanbangsan. From here, we will visit the stunning volcanic rock formations of Jusangjeolli Cliff. From here, we move to Cheonjeyeon Falls, where you will see three steps of waterfalls. The first fall contains a pond that is 22min length and 21m in depth. The water of the first fall flows downwards to create the second and third falls. The area surrounding Cheonjeyeon Waterfall houses many plants like Psilotumnudum (L.) Griseb, Elaeocarpus sylvestris var. ellipticus, tendril plants, and shrubs. Finally, we will visit the Mysterious road, where objects and liquid seem to like to roll and flow up the hill instead of down, which is an optical illusion caused by the seemingly high surroundings. After the tour of Jeju Island, we will head back to the hotel with the rest of the day being free.

Day Twelve:

Jeju – Gimpo airport – Seoul

Today, we will visit the National History Museum that displays mainly natural, historical items such as marine life, soil, rocks, fauna, and flora of Jeju in a three-dimensional way. We can also get insight into the lifestyle of Jeju, such as traditional housing architecture, rites of passage, and regional food specialties. After the museum, we will visit the Jeju Stone Park, inspired by Jeju's history of myth, stone, and spirit. The main theme of the park consists of the legend about Seolmundae Halmang (Grandmother Seolmundae), who created Jeju Island and the stones of Obaek Janggun (the Five Hundreds of Generals). The park offers a cultural and historical space where a group of stones expresses Jeju's foundation and culture.

After visiting the historical park, we will head towards Seongeup Folk Village that lies at the base of Mt. Halla on Jeju Island. Seongeup Folk Village is a tiny town with an abundance of culture. Then, we visit the Seongsan Ilchulbong Sunrise Peak that rose from beneath the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. On the eastern end of Jejudo Island lies a large crater at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. Later, we will enjoy a woman diver show. The Haenyeo refers to female divers who dive into the ocean water to gather various shellfish, seaweed, etc., without the aid of any diving equipment. When diving underwater, a Haenyeo carries a round ball-like tube to keep her balance, a pair of goggles, and a basket to put her collections in. These women involved in the fishing industry are known to be all around Korea, Japan, and Russia. From here, we drive to Hamdeok Seoubong Beach, which is quite popular for its crystal clear and shallow water and attracts many families to spend time during summer vacation. The beach offers beautiful scenery with its emerald-blue water, an arched bridge over black basalt, and a red lighthouse. After the day trip, we will transfer you to the Jeju International Airport from where you will take a flight to Seoul. 

Day Thirteen:

Trip Concludes

The adventurous trip of South Korea ends today. After breakfast, you can depart at any time. Pre-inform us about your flight, and we will drive you to the airport approx. Three hours before your flight.
